Out on his own imprint, Brashtooth
Records, through Adrenaline Music
Group, Aaron David Gleason is
storming onto the scene with six
fiercely original pop-glam
compositions that are sure to leave
listeners drooling for more.
The self-titled EP is Gleason’s
debut release, after having
performed for the last several years
under the pseudonym “Gilly Leads.”
He adopted the Gilly Leads persona
as a homage to his favorite British
Glam acts including David Bowie, who
heavily influences his music. After
kicking around opportunities with
several indies and a major label
under the Gilly Leads name, Gleason
has decided to re-adopt his given
name. His music has developed into
a more unique and personal
expression, while retaining some of
the hint of his past persona.
Gleason has performed in several
bands, including Midnight Radio.
His music is layered, textured,
complicated, yet melodic and hooky
as well. This is his first digital
release, a 6 song EP.
Several times in the last year,
Gleason has also written and
performed with Mike Garson, an
avant-garde jazz pianist who was one
of Bowie’s original Spiders from
Mars and played with Bowie for over
23 years. In the upcoming months,
Aaron David Gleason will be playing
at several Los Angeles venues, and
will expand his touring region after
that. He is looking to grow his
sales organically and through word
of mouth, as well as a street team
campaign, and is pursuing licensing
opportunities. The song “Bright
Lights” has also been used every
month since September as bed music
on American Airlines’ independent
in-flight audio channel, the Paste
Beat. The November episode of that
program also featured his song (not
included in the EP) “You Belong In
the Movies.”
